Otagi Nenbutsu-ji is a temple on the outskirts of Arashiyama featuring 1200 incredibly unique and whimsical statues. Because of its location this temple is often overlooked by the masses of Kyoto tourists, but trust us when we say it's worth the walk (or ride) up the small hillside to see it.
