Daikanyama - Tokyo's 'Little Brooklyn'

Updated: Feb 19, 2020

Old meets new in Tokyo's Daikanyama, just a 10-minute drive from Shibuya, with traditional buildings, modern architecture, trendy shops and hip cafes. Make sure you don't miss the stunning Tsutaya Books store, smartly built in a three-building complex that makes it the city's best (and arguably the world's) bookstore, as local people often say. Log Road, a lane constructed on top of the old tracks of a train line, now lined with shops and eateries in cozy wooden cottage style, is a hit with visitors and locals alike.
