Amanohashidate, or, “bridge in heaven”, is a picturesque, meandering sandbar stretching for nearly 2 miles across the Azul waters of Miyazu Bay. It is said that, when viewing Amanohashidate from the mountains on either side of the bay, the narrow sandbar resembles a tranquil pathway connecting Heaven and Earth.
