Visit King Tu Duc's Mausoleum, a poetic non-conformist architectural work; as a poet himself,

this king went out of the way of Confucianism to choose a romantic, non-symmetrical design for his expected afterlife residence.

The Tomb of Tu Duc was built between 1864 and 1867 in a pinewood. It is enclosed by a wall within which is a lake. The lake, with lotus and water hyacinth, contains a small island where the king built a number of replicas of famous temples.
