Visit the Gangtey Gompa Monastery, set atop a small hill on the valley floor.Gyalse Pema Tinley, the reincarnation of Pema Lingpa (the foremost of the Five Terton Kings of Tibetan Buddhism), laid the foundation of the Temple in 1613, and Tenzin Lekpai Dondrup, the second re-incarnation, built the temple. The present Abbot, Kunzang Padma Namgyal is the ninth re-incarnation of Pema Lingpa.
