Cantho

Vietnam

Part of Vietnam's "Rice Bowl" region wherein where farmers produce coconuts, sugar cane, a variety of fruit, fresh seafood and, of course, rice, Can Tho is an 18th Century outpost that has since been transformed into the de facto capital of the Mekong Delta. Idylically placed amidst a patchwork of rice paddies and pastoral homes, the town marries the buzz of a metropolis with peaceful canals and the charm of a small city.
