Stop by Penang Bridge, once one of the world’s longest bridges, stretching 8 miles across the Penang Strait. The bridge was first proposed in the early 1970's as an alternative to crossing by ferry. Construction began in 1982 and the official opening to traffic took place on September 14th, 1985.
