Hakone, Japan
Begin by transferring via private vehicle to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station; enjoy fabulous views of Fuji National Park en-route. The drive will take between 1 hour, 30 mins – 1 hour, 45 mins.
From the 5th station, enjoy a hike along the Ochudo Trail (subject to volcanic activity). The hike will take approximately 3 ½ hours.
While here, marvel at the grand Komitake Shrine, an ancient place of prayer frequented by climbers of Mt. Fuji.
Circling Mt. Fuji halfway up the mountainside, it is said that the alpine Ochudo Trail was at the highest level of Shugendo (a mixture of Shintoism and Buddhism) practices, meaning that only those who had reached Mt. Fuji’s peak 3 or more times could walk along the picturesque trail.
Following your hike, you will be returned to your hotel.
