Established 30 years ago by the Government, Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel is situated on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River. In 1995, ownership and management were taken over by the Sakura Group of Japan. Thiripyitsaya has since then undergone extensive renovation, upgrading and expansion.
With a background of centuries of history and great cultural heritage at 21 st century, Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel was established under a government VIP guesthouse in this region in early 70's, and upgraded under a Japanese management hotel since 1996. Serving for worldwide well-known VIP's lead by a Cambodian prime minister, we had a lot of travelers from many countries.
Being surrounded by Buddhist cultural heritages and spreading at the bank of magnificent Irrawaddy river, the concept bought up as ‘’No News’’, whereby the guests can appreciate himself to get away from day to day busy life within a information society and find a relaxing and real comfort by experiencing analog life. However, the guests can access satellite TVs, e-mail / internet, IDD call facilities provided in the hotel up to their choice.
