Western Australia is explained in terms of numbers. Like 12,000 miles of pristine coastline, or more species of wildflower than the rest of the world together. Or, how about enough space to fit the state of Texas and have plenty left over to throw in New Zealand as well. Perth, its capital city boasts more poker machine free pubs than any other capital, and per head, Perth offers more restaurants than anywhere else on the continent.
Even the Australian natives hold a certain reverence for this region. Those who visit from the East, return home with mammoth stories of heavenly weather, and delightful white wines, giant trees that root in southern lands and billion year old granite outcrops besides, art galleries teeming with ancient art of the geologic type and the great meeting of five sweeping rivers in the central plains.
This is a land so rich in culture and history it rivals all others on the continent; a land where every story is a lesson and every unveiling is inspiring.
